About the President and Owner
Deborah L. Holand founded Food Sense in
June 2000, after over 20 years experience leading projects in operations
improvements, concept development
and new product and program implementations, with some of the nation’s
most respected premier operators. Her experience spans across restaurants,
supermarkets, convenient stores and manufacturers businesses from concept
development and management, strategic business analysis to marketing
and merchandising of perishable retail and foodservice operations across
all major market areas. Ms. Holand has extensive experience in strategic
planning, retail foodservice and restaurant concept development, and
strong analytical skills in increasing profit of restaurant and retail
business.
Essentially,
I recognize the growth of the food industry is ultimately tied to the
well-being of the larger communities that we
serve. I founded Food Sense to apply my successful restaurant and retail
operations skills to solving client’s problems and help the food
